It was an undiluted joy and jubilations at the Palace of Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege when about 25 pupils from different Government. Secondary Schools across Ado/Ota Local Government Area, received an educational sponsorship letters from a non-governmental group known as OTA GRAVITY GROUP. The schools were: Iganmode Grammar School, Ansarudeen College, Anglican Grammar School, Sango-Ota High School, and Lafenwa High School, Ota. It was gathered that the group, Ota Gravity Group (OGG), also visited the Chief Imam of Ota, Sheik Buhari, who recently lost his house and other valuable properties to a fire incident and they pledged to be part of rebuilding efforts of the edifice. With just few days to Year 2020, the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa has called for caution among the members of the union, while wishing them a happy New Year in advance. Baruwa also appealed to members of the union in a statement he personally signed to be cautious, while transporting passengers from one location to another during the New Year celebration. Wife of the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mr Benedict Gboyega Alabi, Titilayo has been arrested in Lagos over multiple fraud charges.  Titilayo was said to have been arrested earlier this morning Thursday 19th December, 2019 and currently cooling her buttocks with the authorities at the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Ikoyi Lagos.. The fraud allegation is said to be related to about three million seven hundred thousand naira (N3,700,000) cost of furniture supplied to her apartment, which Mrs Titilayo Alabi claimed to be the guest house of her husband, the Deputy Governor of Osun State. The apartment is allegedly located in the higher brow area of Opebi in Ikeja, Lagos. The duo of Akiogun and Abisogun Ruling Houses, two of the ruling houses in Iruland in Lagos, have declared support for Prince Aremo Adesegun Oniru as the next Oniru of Iruland. This is coming on the heels of the claim by the opponent of Adesegun Oniru for the stool, Mr. Hakeem Ajasa that he is from Abisogun family and that he had been endorsed for the coveted stool by the family. Not a few Nigerians were taken aback, when the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) declared a general strike on Wednesday 11th December, 2019 and threw the country into a total blackout. The workers embarked on the strike action following crisis in the power sector at the expiration of the 21 days issued by the union. However, the swift initiative of  Minister of State (Power), Mr. Goddy Jedy Agba in extensively engaging the stakeholders in the sector including those from the Ministry of Power, Director General of Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Alex Okoh, representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, leadership of NUEE and others. The meeting addressed several issues that led to the suspension of the strike action by the electricity workers, who resumed duty after 24 hours of the exercise.
