OML 11 Listing: MOSOP, Affiliate Bodies Reject FG’s 5% Equity, Demand Delisting From London Stock Exchange

Following an extraordinary emergency summit comprising the coalition of Ogoni Diaspora Organizations, the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL) USA, Frontier Youth and Women formations, and allied civil rights bodies across Ogoniland (Nigeria) and in the Diaspora, the coalition has issued a definitive declaration to the Nigerian state, multinational corporations and the international community on the listing of OML 11 on the London Stock Exchange by Shell Nigeria for $2.4 billion.

The coalition stated that the Ogoni people, the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) and its authentic affiliate bodies are neither represented nor spoken for by the Federal Government's alleged handpicked Ogoni Dialogue Committee (ODC), Ledum Mitee, Chief Lesi Maol and the factional MOSOP leader, Nsuka Fegelo, who they described as a 'rebel.'

The statement was jointly signed by Ewards Adookor, Acting President of NUOS INTL USA; Edwards Adookor, leader of The Unseen Project; Sira Mark, Coordinator of CDHRAC; Ignatius Pango; and leader of the Youth & Civil Society, Silvernus Alesaa.

"These FG paid and handpicked individuals and self - styled leaders are scrambling for an illusory, phantom 5% equity mirage unknown to the Ogoni people.

"They do not represent Ogoni or MOSOP. They are doing so at their own risk and at a time when Shell has shown zero  remorse for 68 years of oil theft, genocide, and commercial piracy, which demonstrate their overt and shameless greed at the back and expense of Ogoni - escalating FG, Shell and Renaissance criminalities to unprecedented heights  by secretly and unilaterally packaging and listing OML II outside  Nigerian jurisdiction onto the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

"We do not know who these paid actors represent, nor whose  bidding they do. It is unconscionable betrayal that this political clique would choose to undermine the jobs of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC.

"But they cannot ignore the vital survival interest of Ogoni nation - mortgaging OML II, trading away the creation of Bori State, subverting the Ogoni Bill of Rights,  sabotaging the total and unconditional exoneration of Ken Saro Wiwa and eight Ogoni activists, and ignoring the comprehensive compensation for the 17 Ogoni towns and villages of Kaa, Kpean,  Temana, Teraue, Gwara, Eeke, Kennwigbara etc and families of the over 3000 Ogoni killed during the Shell and state military funded violence in Ogoni  after they have cut a deal and settlement for Ogoni 4 with FG," the statement read.

The coalition then passed a vote of no confidence on Professor Don Baridam, Barr. Tom Orage, Arch Bishop Ignatius Kattey, Ledum Mitee, Chief Lesi Maol, "the entire political members of ODC and the factional 'rebel disguised' MOSOP element leader," Nsuka Fegelo.

They insisted that they must all resign immediately and "cease all fraudulent representation of the  Ogoni people because they can not steal, commercialize, allocate critical NNPC jobs slot for Ogoni people  to themselves, their relatives, biological children or sell to non-Ogoni , nor can they compromise with the FG, Shell and Renaissance to list Ogoni/ Nigeria wealth on foreign market place (LSE) for a unknown 5% mirage promised."

They added that by trading away of the ancestral wealth future behind closed doors or refusal to demand Shell delisting OML II, they are "directly aiding and abbeting Shell's ongoing  plot to plunder our sovereign ancestral heritage - OML II - on the floor of the London stock exchange."

"This constitutes a treasonous affront against Ogoni nation, a deliberate sabotage of MOSOP, and a existential attack  on Ogoni thirty years sacrifice of our people.

"We place President Bola Tinubu, National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu and these compromised domestic actors on formal notice: any breakdown of law, communal chaos, civil unrest or bloodshed resulting from this unauthorized,  backhanded transaction will be played squarely on their shoulders.

"The Ogoni people and MOSOP are not oppose to constructive engagement or the eventual  oil operations dialogue under lawful  transparency.

"However, Ogoni will not dialogue with itself, nor will MOSOP dialogue with FG or corporate entitles while  our ancestral wealth and future are being looted, stolen and traded far away on foreign London Stock Exchange.

"We are putting the FG, Shell , Renaissance and the handpicked ODC on notice that our attention has been drawn to a sinister and provocative move by  NNPCL, FG, Shell, Renaissance and the ODC to re-claasify and declare the 11 ancestral communities of Ban - Ogoi in Tai Local Government as "non Ogoni," the Coalition said in the statement.

According to them, Ban-Ogoi Community has been an integral, indivisible and historically recognized part of Ogoni nation long before the advent of British colonialism or the emergence of the Nigerian state.

According to the coalition, attempting to administratively carve out, divide or de-recognize Ban-Ogoi Community to facilitate divide-and-conquer oil politics and corporate land seizures constitutes an existential threat to the territorial integrity and identity of the Ogoni civilization.

The statement read; "We are hereby serving notice to NNPCL,  FG, Shell, Renaissance and ODC that not one millimeter of Ban - Ogoi Community or any other territory will be excised or balkanized  to satisfy corporate pipeline routes or fraudulent concession boundaries.

"Any document, cartographic manipulation or agreement excising Ban - Ogoi Community is rejected in it entirety as an act hostility against the entire Ogoni nation.

"While innocent citizens are slaughtered daily by Buko Haram, armed bandits and insurgent network across the Northern Nigeria without meaningful intervention or protection from the state, the current administration devotes its maximum security and political machinery to shielding multinational polluters.

"While everyday Nigerians bleed and face unprecedented economic hardship, the FG is actively aiding and abbeting Shell's unilateral flight of Ogoni and Nigerian resources wealth - packaging sovereign assets for  trade in foreign financial capital.

"If Shell is reinvesting it's onshore assets escaping histrical liabilities, and listing OML II through consortium like Renaissance on the London Stock Exchange, who guarantees the 5%?

"If the FG is genuine about equitable oil resumption, why is Shell listing OML II  on the London Stock Exchange instead of the Nigerian stock exchange.. The maneuver is a delibrate attempt to place Ogoni/Nigeria resources beyond  Nigerian sovereign and judicial reach."

They added that Shell must immediately and unconditionally take down and delist OML II from the London Stock Exchange before any further stakeholders' discussion can occur.

Renaissance, they said, must immediately stop parading and trespassing on Ogoni soil, adding that Ogoniland remains closed to its operations.

"We acknowledge that FG has quietly reached an administrative settlement with the families of Ogoni 4. We stand with the families of Ogoni 4 in their grief and we are available to support them whenever they call upon us.

"However, for over thirty years, the FG and Shell have weaponized the tragic death of Ogoni 4 as a political cudgel to divide our communities and justify the judicial murder of Ken Saro Wiwa and eight Ogoni activists

"It is now time for the Nigerian state and Shell to provide identical closure, justice and accountability for the over 3000 innocent Ogoni sons, daughters, wives, mothers, fathers and husbands slaughtered before and after the events and to fully compensate the 17 Ogoni towns and villages of Kaa, Kpean, Teraue,  Temama, Eeke, Gwara, Sidu, Kenwigbara etc razed to ashes by military task forces.

"We also want the Ogoni 4 families to stand with these families and 17 Ogoni towns and villages for their quest for justice and closure. At the end, there is only one victim, not FG, not Shell, but Ogoni.

"We condemn the Ledum Mitee, Chief Lesi Maol and ODC weaponazation of the judicial system and security agencies against vocal indigenous advocates.

"We demand immediate and unconditional dismissal of the trump - up charges (including spurious terrorism and cyber crime allegations) and immediate release of chief Gani Topba.

"Chief Gani Topba was targeted for speaking up and exposing ,substandard clean up contracts, challenging Chief Lesi Maol's commercial deal, and rejecting Shell, Renaissance's incursions  into Ogoni territory and NSA Nuhu Ribadu incorrect account of Kpean - Teraue oil spills.

"This is an attempt to silence whistleblowers using the old play book of repressive  tactics that sent our martyrs to the gallows in 1995," the coalition stated.

They noted that HYPREP has reduced the implementation of UNEP reports to an avenue of "contract patronage and chemical dumping. While public water tanks collapse within days of installation across communities like Gwara, the agency continues defaming our lands with untested chemicals under disguise of bioremediation."

They then called upon the United Kingdom, Netherlands and the Northern Ireland governments, Serious Fraud Office (SFO), His Majesty's Treasury, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service and regulatory authorities "to investigate Shell's corporate plunder and Renaissance corporate fraud on the LSE."

The coalition insisted that "Shell multi million dollars lobbying campaigns to evade liability in cases like Kiobel and it's histrocal obstruction lobbying that blocked over 500 Ogoni refugee families from humanitarian resettlement into the United States, exposing displaced  Ogoni children, women and youth to harm trafficking, predatory exploitation networks, and forced labor corridors like Jeffery Epstien files and other  related exploitation database."

"Ogoni and Nigerians are watching. The world is also watching FG and Shell packaging and listing Ogoni/Nigerian ancestral  wealth assets OMLII on the London Stock Exchange out of Nigerian sovereign and judicial reach,  but refuses to protect Nigeria citizen dying daily in Northern Nigeria from Buko Haram , armed bandits and insurgent networks that was funded by Shell and its foreign corporate surrogates to maintain stronghold and deflect attention from its commerce piracy and economic robbery in the Niger delta..

"Ogoni, Nigerians, and the world are also watching how  the UK and London Stock Exchange, global financial and insurance institutions will help Shell sale Ogoni OML II oil on London Stock Exchange.  Ogoni OML II stolen oil is not for sale at this time or any other other time. Ogoni cannot sell it's future and generation unborn future Any government, agency, corporation or person that help Shell sell Ogoni stolen oil ( OML II ) do so at their risk," they said.

The coalition emphasized that ODC does not only lack the moral fiber, but lacks the moral authority to sign any interim MoU with the FG because they were not appointed by the Ogoni people and that signing any Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Ogoni and MOSOP "will amount to violation of Ogoni public trust and weighing war on Ogoni insofar OML II, Bori State, comprehensive compensation for 17 Ogoni towns and villages and the total and unconditional exoneration of Ken Saro Wiwa and eight Ogoni activists as well as political and economic closure to all the victims of Shell and military occupation in Ogoniland.

They maintained that ODC must know that health renovation facilities, East-West road upgrade, and recreational parks in Ogoniland are not Ogoni demands but FG's responsibility to Ogoni.

"The Only bodies that has the right to sign any Memorandum of Understanding are MOSOP and it's affiliate bodies.

The coalition revealed that their complaints have been sent to over 10 foreign governments and foreign institutions such as the United Nations and the United States of America amongst others.

Court Sets Aside Arrest, Remand, Wanted Declaration Against Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, has set aside its earlier ex-parte order authorizing the arrest, remand, and “wanted” declaration of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran. The development follows the earlier declaration of Akanbi as wanted for alleged multiple murder by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Olorundare Jimoh, on February 19, 2026. However, in a ruling delivered today, Magistrate L.A. Owolabi of Magistrate Court 3 nullified the ex-parte order initially granted on February 16, 2026. In his decision, Magistrate Owolabi held that the order was obtained through the concealment of material facts. The court specifically noted that the counsel who filed and argued the application, Nosa Watson Uhumwangho, was under suspension by the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee at the time and therefore lacked the right of audience before the court. The ruling sparked jubilation among members of the youth wing of the Ojomu royal family, who...

Lagos Lawyer, Ajulo, Labels AIG Moshood Jimoh 'Incompetent,' Demands Independent Review of Ajiran Killings Probe

A Lagos-based lawyer, Adedotun Ajulo Esq, has described the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Moshood Jimoh, as "incompetent and renewed his call for an independent review of the police investigation into the killings in Ajiran Community. Ajulo made the remarks in a statement issued in response to a publication titled "Ajiran killings: Groups, Stakeholders Exonerate AIG Jimoh Moshood from Corrupt Allegations, Refutes Defamatory Statement as Fallacy,"* in which several groups defended the senior police officer against allegations surrounding the handling of the murder investigation. According to the lawyer, public endorsements and declarations of support cannot replace transparency and accountability in restoring public confidence in the justice system. "Public confidence in the administration of justice cannot be restored through endorsements or public declarations. Confidence is earned through a process that is demonstrably impartial, transparent, and ca...

Court Cautions Police, Orders Proper Invitation of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Lagos State Magistrate Court has cautioned the Lagos State Police Command and directed that proper procedures be followed in the handling of the case involving Mr. Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran, in what is seen as a setback for individuals including Bashir Fakorede, Jide Akinloye, and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Jimoh Moshood. Presiding over proceedings in the Ogba Magisterial District, Magistrate A. J. Odueke, in Charge No: MISC/126/2026, held that the police must formally invite Akanbi rather than declare him wanted. The Court further stated that an order for arrest would only be considered if he fails to honour such an invitation. The Court noted that it was mindful of previous proceedings in Charge No: MCIK/60A/2026, where a similar application had earlier been set aside by another Magistrate on March 23, 2026, on the grounds of illegality. Consequently, the Court declined to entertain what it described as a repetition of a defective process. ...
