Ikorodu LG Chairman, Ladega, Congratulates Tinubu Over APC 2027 Ticket, Commends Leadership

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Prince Adedayo Ladega, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.

Ladega described the development as a strong affirmation of the President’s leadership legacy and national impact.

President Tinubu is described as a visionary leader whose administration continues to command respect and inspire confidence across the country, shaping national direction through bold and transformative governance.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Akeem Mustapha, the council boss congratulated President Tinubu on his well-deserved emergence and reaffirmed Ikorodu Local Government’s support and goodwill as he continues the task of national transformation.

He added that ongoing reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening institutions, and expanding opportunities for Nigerians have continued to deepen public trust in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The council also expressed confidence in the President’s capacity to deliver sustainable development and national progress.

Court Cautions Police, Orders Proper Invitation of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Lagos State Magistrate Court has cautioned the Lagos State Police Command and directed that proper procedures be followed in the handling of the case involving Mr. Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran, in what is seen as a setback for individuals including Bashir Fakorede, Jide Akinloye, and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Jimoh Moshood. Presiding over proceedings in the Ogba Magisterial District, Magistrate A. J. Odueke, in Charge No: MISC/126/2026, held that the police must formally invite Akanbi rather than declare him wanted. The Court further stated that an order for arrest would only be considered if he fails to honour such an invitation.
