Dada Aigbe Remanded In Prison Custody For Contempt

The Chairman of Confidence Cargo, Freight Forwarder, Mr Dada Aigbe  has been remanded in Kirikiri Prison for disobeying court order and for interfering in a land matter over which he is not a party.

The land matter is between HRM, Oba Shakirudeen Adeshina Kuti, the Complainants and Osolo of Isolo, HRM, Oba Agbabiaka Kabiru Orisedeko Kuti and the Baale of Mafoluku, Ajao Estate; Chief Hussam Raheem Shekoni Elemo, the Defendants and is before Justice M.A Savage of a Lagos High Court, Lands Division.

The fact of the case as contained in the petition is that the complainant’s ancestral family land along Airport Road, Ewu Town, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos was invaded by Oludada Aigbe  and his thugs.

The case, investigated by FCID SWAT Annex, Lagos before it was transferred to FCID SWAT, Abuja through an endorsed petition letter dated October 27, 2023 for further investigation.

Upon the receipt of the petition, a team of SWAT operatives led by Inspector Murtala Folorunsho departed for Lagos State on investigation on November 8, 2023.

On arrival, the petitioners were contacted and their statements recorded voluntarily adopting the same content of the petition.

The scene of crime was visited on November 9, 2024 at about 12noon and revisited on November 11, 2024 at about 2pm. Based on the directives of the DIG FCID that parties should interview him on November 14, 2023, parties interviewed the DIG. The suspect’s statement was recorded under caution.

During the course of investigation, both parties presented documents justifying their ownership of the disputed land for verification. Subsequently, a letter was sent to Surveyor General Office, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State as well as Appeal Court, Lagos Division, where the case is being determined in favour of the Ajamogun and Onikotun Families and against the Elemo Family since the year 2019.

The court then issued a bench warrant against Mr Dada Aigbe and he was committed to Kirikiri Prison for a period of one month until he purges himself of the Contempt of the Court and files an affidavit.

He was even not a party in the land matter, but it was gathered that he was trying to use his influence to curry favour for the other party.

The other party got judgement on the matter and he despite not being a party, he was said to have illegally took possession of the property despite subsisting court order.

The Judgment creditors family went to court through their counsel M.B.JIMOH-AKOGUN Esq for contempt and the High Court of Lagos State, presided over by Honourable Justice M.A.Savage  committed the contemptnor to prison on Monday 11th day of March, 2014

Court Sets Aside Arrest, Remand, Wanted Declaration Against Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, has set aside its earlier ex-parte order authorizing the arrest, remand, and “wanted” declaration of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran. The development follows the earlier declaration of Akanbi as wanted for alleged multiple murder by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Olorundare Jimoh, on February 19, 2026. However, in a ruling delivered today, Magistrate L.A. Owolabi of Magistrate Court 3 nullified the ex-parte order initially granted on February 16, 2026. In his decision, Magistrate Owolabi held that the order was obtained through the concealment of material facts. The court specifically noted that the counsel who filed and argued the application, Nosa Watson Uhumwangho, was under suspension by the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee at the time and therefore lacked the right of audience before the court. The ruling sparked jubilation among members of the youth wing of the Ojomu royal family, who...

Court Cautions Police, Orders Proper Invitation of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Lagos State Magistrate Court has cautioned the Lagos State Police Command and directed that proper procedures be followed in the handling of the case involving Mr. Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran, in what is seen as a setback for individuals including Bashir Fakorede, Jide Akinloye, and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Jimoh Moshood. Presiding over proceedings in the Ogba Magisterial District, Magistrate A. J. Odueke, in Charge No: MISC/126/2026, held that the police must formally invite Akanbi rather than declare him wanted. The Court further stated that an order for arrest would only be considered if he fails to honour such an invitation. The Court noted that it was mindful of previous proceedings in Charge No: MCIK/60A/2026, where a similar application had earlier been set aside by another Magistrate on March 23, 2026, on the grounds of illegality. Consequently, the Court declined to entertain what it described as a repetition of a defective process. ...
