Fraud Allegation Trails Shola Agboola of SAGA Foundation ...As He Plans To Donate Multi-Billion Naira Medical And Hospital Equipment To Osun State Government

Concerned stakeholders have questioned the well-publicized launching and handing over of multi-billion naira Medical Equipment & Hospital Supplies to a general hospital in Osun State by Shola Agboola, founder of a Non-Governmental Organisation, SAGA Foundation.

The donation ceremony, billed to hold on Saturday November 25, 2023 in Ede, hometown of Governor Ademola Adeleke of the state, will be attended by the Governor, His Imperial Majesty, Arole Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, the Royal Father of the Day, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa 1, Timi of Ede-Land as the Royal Host and Apesin Olanrewaju, Emmanuel Kolade as the Special Guest of Honour of the anticipated event set to be graced by who-is-who in Osun State and its environs.

Findings revealed that some people in the state are not happy that the medical equipment and hospital supplies are being diverted to the general hospital in Ede, while there are other hospitals in Osogbo, the capital of the state, that need the equipment.

A medical practitioner in the state who wanted to be anonymous, stated that “why will the multi billion naira medical equipment and hospital supplies be given to the general hospital in the hometown of the incumbent Governor, adding that there must have been a kind of deal between Agboola and the Governor.

A concerned resident of the state believed that Mr. Shola Agboola must have been promised a juicy deal by the state government, which he said made it too obvious the reason for the diversion of the equipment to Ede.

Further findings revealed that the free medical equipment and hospital supplies donated by credible medical companies in Canada ought to be given free to many hospitals in different states in Nigeria rather than being taken to just one hospital in Osun State.

Those who should know alleged that the foundation often uses its middle man to sell some of the major medical equipment to some hospitals in Nigeria before making public presentation like the one slated for Ede, Osun State.

"The foundation is really cashing out from the clandestine sales of the top range medical equipment to highly rated hospitals in Nigeria," said a source, who added that he has been monitoring the activities of the founder of the foundation that is located somewhere on Lagos Island.

What calls for concern at this period and which brought about digging into the activities of the foundation is the fact that the free medical items ought to be shared or donated to some states with poor medical facilities in Nigeria instead of moving everything to Ede in Osun State.

More so,  the founder had one time in the second quarter of this year donated several millions worth of medical equipment to the same Ede through the same foundation and many now wondered why he is taking the newly delivered billion naira worth medical equipment and hospital supplies to Ede again.

It will be recalled that there was a fraudulent allegation, which caused Mr. Shola Agboola to disassociate himself from one Mr. Peter Olorunyomi and Osazee Idemudia, who were allegedly accused of collecting money from unsuspecting people in the country with a promise to process genuine Canadian visas and work permits for them and these are yet to be resolved by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The story of the supply of medical equipment and hospital supplies to the General Hospital in Ede could lead to another crisis, and the founder of SAGA Foundation needs to explain why the foundation decided to donate such huge supplies only to the hospital in Ede at a period Nigerians cannot afford or have access to quality and affordable healthcare.

Concerned watchers of events, who are worried about how some foundations are using their humanitarian service platforms to get grants and various supports from foreigners abroad without proper accountability or reports, said that they would appreciate it if Mr. Shola Agboola can give proper accounts whenever he comes to Nigeria for the launch and donation in Osun State and give proper reports of all the equipment and supplies given to him for humanitarian services under SAGA Foundation in Nigeria and Canada.

Court Sets Aside Arrest, Remand, Wanted Declaration Against Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi

A Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, has set aside its earlier ex-parte order authorizing the arrest, remand, and “wanted” declaration of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, also known as Hammed Ajiran. The development follows the earlier declaration of Akanbi as wanted for alleged multiple murder by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Olorundare Jimoh, on February 19, 2026. However, in a ruling delivered today, Magistrate L.A. Owolabi of Magistrate Court 3 nullified the ex-parte order initially granted on February 16, 2026. In his decision, Magistrate Owolabi held that the order was obtained through the concealment of material facts. The court specifically noted that the counsel who filed and argued the application, Nosa Watson Uhumwangho, was under suspension by the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee at the time and therefore lacked the right of audience before the court. The ruling sparked jubilation among members of the youth wing of the Ojomu royal family, who...
