Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, has accused the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) of misinterpreting and selectively implementing insurance laws, warning that its actions could weaken the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), cost jobs and discourage investment in agriculture. Nigerian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, says President Bola Tinubu and members of his family enjoy unimpeded transit and cannot be arrested in the United States while attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
