Senator Musa’s Legacy of Intellect, Compassion and Delivery

By Suleiman Adamu In Nigeria’s dynamic democratic landscape, where leadership often teeters between self-interest and public service, few figures emerge as true exemplars of covenantal representation. Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, CON, affectionately known as “Musa 313,” stands as a beacon of intellectual rigour, empathy, and impactful delivery. Representing Niger East Senatorial District, he has woven a legacy of legislative excellence and grassroots development that resonates far beyond the confines of his constituency, touching the heart of Nigeria’s democratic aspirations. Great leaders are not born of chance; they are shaped by discipline, preparation, and an unrelenting commitment to progress. Senator Musa embodies this truth. A proud son of Niger State, he embarked on an academic journey that laid the foundation for his remarkable career. At Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specialising in Banking and Finance, in ...

Rivers State: Ibas’ Record Breaking Governance Amidst Peace Restoration

By Randy Owen In the face of political distrust, upheaval, and societal uncertainty, there exist leaders who frise above the turbulence of their times to deliver stability, order, and progress in sand of history. For Rivers State, that leader is the person of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), whose appointment as Sole Administrator marked not just a transition in governance, but the opening of a new chapter in transitioning of a disciplined democratic statecraft. I write to the world not as a distance observer of the happenings on Rivers State but as an individual with firsthand witness. I experienced the remarkable unfolding of events in Rivers, where a leader with a military background has applied the finesse of discipline, humanistic touch of empathy, and the clarity of purpose in governance. The words of Professor Julius Ihonvbere, Chairman of the House of Representatives Special Adhoc Committee, struck a chord that reverberated across Rivers State when he led a delegation on an un...

NNPCL and Corruption’s Final Throes

By Pius Olasanmi In the twilight of the Obasanjo administration, when Nigerians were still capable of being outraged, when Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of refineries was a buzzword that still held some mysticism to bamboozle citizens, during a conversation, a certain man said something profound. The man said, “As a businessman, if I were the owner of these refineries, knowing that they are three decades old, I would take the last money I have, hire bulldozers, raze them to the ground, and obtain loans to build new ones.” When we pressed him further on why he would engage in such waste, he explained that repairing the refineries is the real waste. He explained that even if the TAM were honestly carried out, a thirty-year-old refinery would never compete favourably with a new one that would integrate contemporary technology. Operating at its best, such a refinery would never be comparatively more efficient. It is therefore pointless to have spent another one naira on the refineries at t...

In a statement signed by Dr Collins Atawodi, the group condemned the fabricated reports, which falsely claimed that the Presidency forced Ojulari to resign. The Situation Room on Positive Reforms described the fake news as a calculated plot to disrupt Nigeria’s energy supply, potentially triggering fuel shortages, reintroducing fuel queues, and inciting widespread unrest. The group pointed to Ojulari’s recent achievements, including his efforts to reform the nation’s refineries and recover revenue previously tied up by questionable deals with international oil c...
