Idumuje-Ugboko Kingship Tussle: The Complete Story By WALTERS ONYEISI UGOCHUKWU EZIASHI

Historically, Idumuje people trace their roots to ancient Bini kingdom, just like most of the Enuani people that left Benin in the 18th century. Idumuje Unor and Idumuje Ugboko are one people and members of Idumuje clan .They have no common land boundary and bear same cultural and traditional heritage. Both communities went their separate ways though united by tradition and culture following an Odogwu title dispute . Those who felt aggrieved left and wandered farther into a nearby forest to their present location where they share boundaries with towns like Igbodo in Ika North East, Onicha Ugbo, Ugbodu, in Aniocha North and Ewohinmi in Edo State according the 1937 Intelligence Report by R.B. Karr. Idumuje-Ugboko is the epicenter of this analysis and it must be said that to understand a people you must look at their history, their mores, social and interpersonal relationship, religion, culture and related values that shape their world view. Hence the sage says that those wh...

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun Takes Fight Against Coronavirus To The Next Level

Until Monday, April 6, when two new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) were announced in Ogun State, the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration had plumbed into the depth of its resourcefulness and sense of duty to curtail and contain its spread. The state’s index case, an Italian who has since been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Lagos, was announced March 9. Between then and now, the United States of America has experienced a frightening spike in COVID-19 cases with deaths, at the time of writing, pegged at about 11, 000. The cases in Lagos currently stand at 238 with five deaths and 35 patients fully recovered and discharged. Ogun is the closest state to Lagos; proximity that comes with its merits and demerits. Perhaps if the Italian harbinger of COVID-19 had not visited Ogun, the state would have been without a case or its first case would have been delayed judging by the measures quickly put in place by Governor Abiodun. The moment there ...

Aide of Delta Governor, Okowa Carpets Azuka Jebose Over Wicked Lies Against Prince Ned Nwoko!

I have been reading with heavy heart and unbelief the endless lies peddled by one Azuka Jebose reportedly based in Maryland, United States. The crude manner Azuka Jebose has dabbled into the affairs of Idumuje-Ugboko kingdom by telling all sorts of lies against renowned philantropist, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko and other notable members of the Nwoko Royal family is an indication that he is either hired by mischief makers or seeking for recognition to feed from the wicked deception he is creating on social media Amongst the numerous lies told by Azuka Jebose in his serial propaganda is that Prince Martin Nwoko is among the defendants in Abuja. It is on record that Prince Martin Nwoko was never a defendant in the matter in Abuja neither was he part of the crisis in Idumuje-Ugboko. His only role was when He exercised his powers as the oldest in the Nwoko Royal family and summoned a meeting of the Umu-Omorhusi Nwoko family upon the directive of his Royal Highness Ogbogidi Obi ...

FIRS Chairman, Muhammad Nami Accused Of Discriminating Against Staff, Abandoning Office

The Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Muhammad Nami, has been accused of discriminating against some staffers of the organization. According to a source, personnel recruited when Fowler was in charge are being segregated by the new management.  The new chairman succeeded Babatunde Fowler last December. It is being alleged that he (Nami) nurses distrust for and treats the new staffers as outcasts. He believes some of us were planted in the organization since we were recruited during the former chairmans tenure. But that is not true, and I also believe that a government establishment should not be run based on the emotions of its chairman, said the source, who is a female manager. She described the situation as demoralizing to the new staffers and affecting their productivity too. Moreover, the new management has reportedly created a gulf between the new and old staffers. The FIRS chairman, as said, does not deal with the new staff...
