The Youth Forum of Ojomu Royal Family of Ajiran Town in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State, has written a petition against the Commissioner of Police in the state, Moshood Jimoh, over the accusations levelled against Hammed Tajudeen. Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, the counsel to the Forum, (Adedotun Ajulo, Esq.), said the Lagos State Police Command cannot embark on a media trial in an alleged murder case. The Forum said the police accused Tajudeen of sponsoring multiple murders without investigation. It stated that at no time was Tajudeen invited by the police for questioning.  It said: "At no time did he refuse or fail to honour any police invitation. I was struck by its bitterness. Dr. Adedayo has, over the years, worked alongside and around politicians whose records were, at best, underwhelming and, at worst, abysmal. Yet, never did we read from him the kind of apocalyptic metaphors he now deploys with theatrical relish. It is therefore difficult to ignore the growing public perception that his current crusade against Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is less about governance and more about grievance, less about facts and more about fresh sponsorship. The local government chairmanship aspirants in the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) have petitioned President Bola Tinubu over none refund of their nomination and expression of interest fees. The group in the petition alleged that refunds have reportedly been made to councillorship aspirants and a few Local Government Chairmanship aspirants, over 300 chairmanship aspirants across the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs are yet to receive their refunds. A United Kingdom-based philanthropist, Chief (Mrs.) Dorcas Adeyinka, has publicly challenged her recent declaration as “wanted,” alleging that she was falsely accused and unlawfully listed in a police bulletin without being given a fair opportunity to defend herself. In an emotional statement, Adeyinka called on the Nigerian Police Force to urgently review what she described as a petition filled with “baseless and well-crafted lies,” which allegedly led to the publication of her name in a wanted notice. The development comes as Toyin Fayose tendered an apology to Adeyinka over an earlier allegation that she introduced a shipper who later defrauded her. A human rights group, the Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR), has called for investigations into the killings of six traders in Owode Onirin area of Lagos State in August 2025 by suspected thugs. Addressing the media on Monday at the International Press Centre (IPC), Ogba, Lagos, on the recent protest at the gate of the Lagos State House of Assembly over the demolitions carried out in some parts of the state that led to altercation between the protesters and the security agencies, the President of CHSR, Comrade Alex Omotehinse said that the people have rights to protest.
