The Federal Government on Friday launched a pilot phase of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, announcing waiver of Value Added Tax (VAT) on CNG purchased vehicles. Engineer Micheal Oluwagbemi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Presidential CNG Initiative (P-CNGi) disclosed, in a statement to newsmen, that the initiative on Friday handed over converted buses to State House in Abuja. A former President of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) Mr. Legborsi Saro Pyagbara, has dragged the federal and Rivers State governments to the United Nations, over the confiscation of $300million compensation funds released for the people of Ogoni over the oil deposit in their land.   Ayerin Atinuke Janet,  lesbian couple and five other women have been arrested in  Ikeja, Lagos for planning the pair’s wedding. The women were detained on May 18, 2023 in Ikeja and later released on bail on May 20.   According to Grace Balogun, the Executive Director of Women Initiative Agenda (WIA), an NGO in a release made available to journalists, anyone convicted of having lesbian sex can be sentenced to ten years in prison.
