  Women Leader of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas has made a case for the eradication of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Lagos State in particular and in Nigeria generally. Speaking on this year's Lagos Gender-Based Violence (GBV) week and the 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women and girls, Okoya-Thomas said that the matter has assumed an alarming rate and that it should be curtailed to prevent further damage to the victims of the violence. The Women Leader, who spoke to journalists on Wednesday, appealed to all stakeholders to rally round the government and other concerned agencies as well as Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) to end domestic violence and sexual harassment against women and girls.   Chairman of the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Waliu Taiwo has promised to ensure a  good working relationship between the legislature and the executive in the state. Addressing newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the members of the newly constituted Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Taiwo said that time had come for the two arms of government to work together.  On Friday, November 6, Citation, the seventh movie of filmmaker par excellence, Kunle Afolayan, will be released on video streaming platform, Netflix, to a global audience. The coming of age movie, written by Tunde Babalola, is a university drama centred on a female postgraduate student who has to find a way of dealing with the incidence of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer. It was shot in Nigeria, Senegal and Cape Verde and features tested thespians like Haitian-born Hollywood actor, Jimmy Jean Louis, Sadiq Daba and Gabriel Afolayan with a cameo by Dr Mrs Ibukun Awosika, the chairman of First Bank of Nigeria.
