  The Federal University of Petroleum FUPRE, Effurun , Delta State is set to confer an award of Doctor of Science degree (Honoris causa) on Nigeria’s celebrated international lawyer, politician and philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko between 26th  and 27th April 2019. Prince Nwoko will receive the prestigious honour alongside some eminent Nigerians for his outstanding contributions to social and human capital development. The cerebral politician is being rewarded for his consistency and love for his people, which had earned him accolades within and outside the country. It was stated in a nomination letter signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor A O Akii Ibhobode and dated 15th April 2019 that Prince Nwoko was chosen for the award based on his pedigree of philanthropy, service and integrity.
